Yeah, I heard
your rambling words
how rankled you felt
and maybe one good belt
might make you feel better
more like the go-getter
that used to be you
back when you were new
And in every poem you read you said
eff this and eff that
guess you felt committed
no expletive omitted,
not necessarily flowerful.
Your poems could be powerful...
Sure wish you'd repeated,
"Expletive deleted",
but those expletives
were sometimes
the only words
you made clear.
