THE   GAME   YOU   PLAY

I know the game you play
You play it every day
It's something I've long known
You hide so you can be alone
I know the game you play
When you find the subject sore
You sidestep, sidestep,
Sashay out the back door.

You think that I don’t see
This game you play with me
But I do see -- and this is true
You only get away with it ‘cause I let you
I know the game you play
When you find the subject sore
You sashay, sashay,
Sidestep out the back door.

I know the game you play
You play it every day
When you get insincere
I thought we had a friendship here
I know the game you play
When you find the subject sore
You sidestep, sidestep,
Sashay out the back door

You say no one can feel
Your pain that just won’t heal
Yet you still play your game
You always play it just the same
But I know this game you play
And next time you're a subject sore
I'll sidestep, sidestep,
Sashay out that back door
